The agreement between your household and smrtr. Updated October 24, 2026.

The service

smrtr is practice for grades 5 through 9: language arts in every grade and math through grade 8. Every miss comes back with an explanation, and most skills carry a short lesson. One household subscription covers every learner in the household.

Accounts

A household is created by an adult, who is responsible for the learners added to it and for keeping the password private. You may remove a learner, or ask us to close the household, at any time.

Trial and payment

A new household gets a 7-day free trial, with a card taken up front. When the trial ends the subscription begins: $5 a month or $50 a year, billed by Stripe on the same day each period. We email you before the trial ends.

Changing plans takes effect right away when you move to the longer plan, with the unused part of the current period credited toward the new one, and at the end of the current period when you move to the shorter one.

Cancelling

Cancel from the billing page whenever you like. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing is deleted: your learners, decks and history are there if you come back.

If a payment fails

We retry the card over a 7-day grace period and email you so you can update it. Practice keeps working during that window. If the period ends without a successful payment, practice pauses until the card is updated; nothing is deleted.

Refunds

Email us. We look at each request rather than applying a rule, and a refund, when one is issued, is made through Stripe to the original card.

What you may not do

Share a household login outside your household, copy the questions or lessons for redistribution, or try to interfere with the service or other households.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters to you, we email the household address before the change takes effect.
